【摘要】:Excessiveamountsofunreactedmonomermaycauseconcernsrelatingtotoxicityandodor.Thistestmethodisdesignedtomeasuretheunreactedmonomercontentoflatexes.Theresultsmaybeusedtomonitortheextentofpolymerizationduringmanufacture,aswellastoestablishmaximumunreactedmonomercontentforregulatorypurposes.1.1Thistestmethodisforthedeterminationoftheunreactedmonomercontentofacryliclatexes.Monomersthathavebeensuccessfullydeterminedbythisprocedureincluden-butylmethacrylate,n-butylacrylate,styrene,andmethylmethacrylate.Thedeterminationofothermonomershasnotbeenevaluated,butthistestmethodisbelievedtobeapplicable.Theestablishedworkingrangeofthistestmethodisfrom100to1000x03BC;g/g,butthereisnoreasontobelieveitwillnotworkoutsideofthisrange,providedthatappropriatedilutionsandadjustmentsinspecimensizearemade.1.2Theunreactedmonomerinacryliclatexesisexpectedtochangewithtimeandenvironmentalfactors.Thistimedependenceofthedeterminationmaybeseenasanartificiallylargedeviationofresults,makingthetestmethodmostlyapplicableforin-housequalitycontrol,wheresamplingandanalysisconditionscanbebettercontrolled.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
