【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesprocedurestobefollowedintestingtheperformanceoftheanchorageofalltypesofnewandexistingpermanentmetalrailingsystems(guard,stair,andramp-railsystems),andrails(hand,grab,andtransferrails)installedinandforagricultural,assembly,commercial,educational,industrial,institutional,recreational,andresidentialbuildings.Thistestmethodisapplicabletorailingsystemsandrailshavingmajorstructuralcomponentsmadeofmetalandsecondarycomponentsmadeofmetalorothermaterialssuchaswood,plastics,andglass.Thetestmethoddescribedcanbeusedtodeterminewhethertheanchorageofpermanentmetalrailingsystemsandrailscomplieswithanticipatedperformancerequirements.Specifically,thistestmethodcoversproceduresfordeterminingthestatictension,shear,andmomentresistanceofanchoragesforpermanentmetalrailingsystems,andrailsinstructuralelementsmadeofconcrete,masonry,wood,andmetalaswellasrelatedproducts.Noconsiderationisgiveninthistestmethodtoanypossibledeteriorationofanchoragesystems,resultingfromadverseenvironmentalconditions.Theperformanceofspecialtestscoveringthisaspectmaybedesirable.Shouldcomputationsmakeitpossibletoprovidetheneededinformation,testingmaybeemployedforpurposesofverification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection6.
